Taj Mahal not reopen for tourists – Covid-19

Agra: The Union Culture Minister Prahlad Singh had declared a day or two ago the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) shielded monuments could reopen from July 6.

In a meeting of the district officials and the ASI conservationists late Sunday night, it had been decided to postpone the viability of the monuments in Agra. The gain in the amount of both containment and buffer zones has been a problem.

Officials noted that in the lack of freedom by flights and trains, not a lot of tourists would have the ability to reach Agra.
