Indian Government approved agriculture infrastructure fund
India government on Wednesday approved establishing an agriculture infrastructure fund with a corpus of Rs 1 lakh crore to supply financial aid to entrepreneurs, starts-ups, agri-tech gamers along with farmer classes for logistics and infrastructure centers.
A conclusion in this respect was shot in the cabinet assembly, Headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Even the Agri-Infra Fund was a part of the Rs 20 lakh crore stimulation Package declared in reaction to this COVID-19 crisis.
Briefing the press concerning the cabinet choices, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar stated:”It’s a historic choice. This may further the agriculture industry.”
He explained that fiscal centers of more than Rs 1 lakh crore will Be supplied to chief agri credit arrangements, farmers groups, farmers, farmer producer organisations (FPOs), agri-entrepreneurs, start-ups along with agri-tech players.
