Major fire in Mumbai Borivali’s shopping mall

Mumbai (11 July): A Significant fire broke out at a shopping Mall in suburban Borivali here on Saturday, but there wasn’t any report of any casualty or accident, a fire brigade official said.

The fire brigade received the phone about The blaze from the cellar of Indraprastha Restaurant on S Road at Borivali West around 3 am, he explained.

“The mall is really a three-storey Structure, excluding the basement. The fire started from the cellar and spread into the 2 floors,” he said.

The official stated that the blaze was Initially recognized as level-2 fire, however, was tagged as level-3 around 4 am and level-4 at 6.25 am. In level-4 fire, at 16 engines are roped in to your firefighting operation.

“Thick black smoke enveloped the surrounding area and it was visible from a distance,” the official said.
