Mizoram postpones the schools for 2024-21 academic session

The mizoram government has postpones the introduction of colleges for the 2024-21 academic session for a part of the containment steps to curb the outbreak that was coronavirus, a minister said.

The authorities had decides to open educational institutions to the current session in july 15.

“we’d not be able to open schools during this month since the union ministry of home affairs lead every one of the nations not to open educational and training institutes till july 31 because of the increasing covid-19 instances in the nation,” mizoram education minister lalchhandama ralte said on friday.

A decision will be taken by the state government about the matter considering the circumstance, he explained.

162 covid-19 instances were reported by mizoram. The state has 35 active circumstances, while 127 patients have recovered from the disease.

Meanwhile, the class-12 board examinations suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak were ran successfully, ” he explained.

The examinations of higher secondary school leaving certificate (hsslc) for remaining subjects in arts, commerce and science streams were held between july 1 and july 3.

Their board exams have been completes by about 7,026 pupils in economics, chemistry, sociology, computer science and home science, he explained.

According to the minister, the board examinations outcomes will be declares before july 15.
