Pulwama-like terrorist IED blast attack was averted in J&K

A major terror attack Like the 2019 Pulwama assault was prevented from Jammu and Kashmir’s Ayengund area of Rajpora after security forces neutralised an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) retrieved from a vehicle on Thursday.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police and bomb squad of the Army detected a Santro car fitted with explosives and destroyed it.  A major episode of a vehicle-borne #IED blast is averted from the timely input and actions by Pulwama Police, CRPF and Army. The information was confirmed by the Kashmir Zone Police on Twitter.

By security forces at a mobile automobile checkpoint but the driver sped away. They said the security forces stopped few shots at the vehicle, which they discovered abandoned some distance apart. Through assessing , an IED was discovered fitted in the vehicle, that was later defused.

A Couple of rounds were fired after which the driver stated for Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant, abandoned the vehicle and fled.

According to reports, the police found explosives at a drum the back seat. The bomb disposal squads were called in and the car has been ruined by them, while a group of authorities kept an opinion and ravaged people from the neighboring locations. The automobile had a fake number plate. As per reports, the rest of the case was passed over to the NIA.
