SpiceJet announced Covid-19 insurance cover to boost passenger confidence

Airline SpiceJet on Wednesday announced a special initiative to provide a opt for Covid-19 related insurance policy cover to passengers to improve passenger assurance.

“The detailed cover includes evaluations, medication and consultation upon testing positive for Covid-19.”

SpiceJet has joined hands with Go Digit General Insurance via its a Digit Illness Group Insurance Policy to provide you this insurance quote.

According to the airline, the insurance carrier does not have any limitations on area or ICU rent.

“This means there isn’t any limit on ICU fees or space lease until the guaranteed sum lasts,” the statement said.

Accordingly, the cover is valid for a period of 12 months and ranges from Rs 50,000 to Rs 300,000 at a premium of Rs 443 to Rs 1,564 a year (including GST).
