WHO concerned about COVID-19 impact on women, children and adolescents
The World Health Organization (WHO) said it’s “especially worried” about the effect of COVID-19 for women, children and teens.
Talking in Geneva at a virtual press conference on Friday,” WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that the consequences of COVID-19 on those groups might be greater than the amount of deaths due to the virus itself, Xinhua news agency reported.
The chief added on preserving essential services that WHO has developed advice, such as for teens, women, children and teens.
