Yogi released crime figures depending on NCRB, and claims UP have better law and order

To offset the mounting pressure from the resistance about the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath authorities has released crime figures depending on the National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) statistics to show that the crime scenario in the nation has been “satisfactory”.

According to the government spokesman, the NCRB statistics for the calendar year 2018 reveals that despite getting 17 percent population of the country, the crime rate in the nation was only 10 percent.

The speed of murders in Uttar Pradesh continues to be 1.8 percent lakh population, much below the national average of 2.2 per lakh population in 2018.

The country has a lower murder rate compared to Bihar, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

In the same way, crime against women in Uttar Pradesh is currently 55.7 percent lakh population, significantly less than the nationwide average of 58.8 at 2018 and fares much better than Maharashtra, West Bengal, Rajasthan and Assam.

In offense against kids, Uttar Pradesh rate of 22.5 per lakh population is significantly less than national average of 31.8 and lower than Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

The offense rate according to the NCRB reveals an authority has enhanced law and order from Uttar Pradesh compared to other nations having a greater population density.

The spokesman said that the government was encouraging and initiated a plethora of reforms that help suppress crime.
